Healing One Step at a Time

This month we share another amazing Healing Champion, Kristi Cromwell! Kristi grew up in Michigan and that’s where her love of taking pictures began. She enjoys sharing her view of the world through her camera lens with her fine art photography. She is a gifted photographer and I highly recommend you check out her work. My two favorites are “Old Stone Church” and “Solitude”! You can see them at https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/1-kristi-cromwell.html

In addition to her passion for photography, she is also dedicated to teaching the Radical Remission program based on the book, Radical Remission, by Dr. Kelly Turner. The program helps others to implement the 9 lifestyle healing factors that can make a difference for those with cancer. Kristi knows the difference the strategies can make from her own experience.

I first met Kristi at the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden in Harvard, MA, and I was struck by her peaceful and resilient spirit! She shared that 6 years ago she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and she did lots of research about her treatment options. She decided to make nutrition a primary focus for boosting her immune system and for healing her brain tumor.  She studied at the Kushi Institute, the Center for Integrative Nutrition and consulted with Jeanne Wallace, PhD CNC, at her Nutritional Solutions Center in Utah.  She has found nutrition and her passion for photography most helpful in her healing journey.  In addition, she had heard about the Radical Remission Project and started applying the recommendations of the 9 lifestyle factors outlined in the program.

She has become a Radical Remission (RR) Instructor, Certified Health Coach and Laughter Yoga Instructor.  She teaches various styles of the RR course which can be held once a week for 6 to 9 weeks or a concentrated weekend program.  She is also involved with the research that is being done to document the results of following this program to see what difference the program can make in the lives of people with cancer.  The research study corresponds to the instruction program and participants fill out three surveys: one is done prior to the course, then at 1 month after the completion of the program, and then again at 6 months after the completion of the program. It will be very exciting to see where the results land and it will be important information to share with patients.

Kristi is a Champion for Healing and is a very compassionate, kind and dedicated woman who wants to spread this message of inspiration and healing to others who have cancer.
