Being a parent is one of THE Best and MOST Challenging jobs we will ever have in our lifetime. It is Joyful, Fun, Energizing, and creative on one hand and difficult, demanding and gut wrenching at other times. If you are like me, you wouldn’t trade it for the world but there have been times in my parenting journey when I was not sure if I was doing the right thing or if there was a “right thing”. Along with all the responsibilities of being a parent, there are many stresses in our life in the 21st century as many moms and dad’s today are both going out to work, meeting all the expectations of our jobs or careers along with being a parent. It leaves us feeling pulled from both sides, trying to get our kids to daycare or school on time as well as meeting all of the expectations of our careers and leaving us feeling emotionally and physically exhausted. If not addressed, it can impact on our health both physically and emotionally.

What I want to acknowledge is that many are doing an outstanding job meeting multiple expectations and accomplishing all that we do as moms and parents everyday as we work to give our kids a better life. Let’s face it, these are challenging times post-pandemic and without a doubt, as Maria Shriver has said, “We are all dealing with a lot”.

What is important to know, and what I want to help you to focus on, is that we do have an ability to give ourselves and our families the best chance of staying healthy and resilient during this time. It takes awareness, practice and support. It is precisely the reason why I created this workshop, to help parents focus on themselves first so that they do have the strength, resilience, energy and stamina for the long term. Not only will you give yourself the best chance to live a longer life full of greater joy, good health and less stress but you will be giving your kids the best chance for developing the Good, Better, Best health habits so that they can have more Fun, Joy and Greater health in their life for the long term with less time being sick.

During this 6-week program for parents who have young children, you will learn what you can do to practice simple health habits that build resiliency through Love and Self-Image, Nutrition, Exercise, Stress management practices, and encouraging Joy, Creativity and Curiosity for yourself and your Preschooler to set a wellness template for life long health.
